The Little Black Dress Initiative

Little Black Dress Initiative (#LBDI) is a week-long awareness and fundraising campaign to educate the community about how poverty affects women and children in Winston-Salem/Forsyth County.

Junior League of Winston-Salem advocates are wearing the same black dress (or outfit) for five consecutive days to initiate conversations about the restrictions poverty places on choices, opportunities, and access to resources.

Funds raised will support Junior of League of Winston-Salem's signature projects such as Strong Women Strong Families, BookWORM and Puppet Show. To learn more about these projects visit our website jlws.org.
